AAJ charges a publication fee to cover all operational costs of the publishing process. Additionally, an open-access fee is charged to allow for readers to access publication for free. Fees are charged only if a paper is accepted for publication. When AAJ receives corrected proofs and payment, the paper will by immediately placed in the queue for publication. Article will appear online, and readers can access it for free. Open access refers to scholarly journals that are available online, free of charge to the reader; without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. Authors retain the copyright to their article and may distribute the article however they wish.
